The first thing I did to my E30 was to drive it.

That is cool, nice work. another lil trick i did with mine.. If you have an aux cable from your head unit (back), I popped out one of the amber lenses and ran my aux cable through the hole, now when it's not in use it stows neatly in the ashtray. I'll throw a pic up later if anyone cares.

The felt I used to line it is self adhesive stuff that they sell at Walmart in the craft section (My wife is a kindergarten teacher so I have a good idea of what is in the craft section)
