When I mean like new, I mean that I only used it once to test out the fitment and it fits perfectly. I ordered 2 of these-this, one being the version in this thread with identical sized cupholders on both slots (2.75 inches in diameter) instead of the current ones with one slot larger than the other, so .

How does it cover and sit over the cig lighter and ashtray?

you have to remove the cig lighter and astray before you can install this. after that you pretty much just shove it in that area and it is held securely by friction.
