Rebuilt balanced m20 and ix m20 take out

sale pending on the rebuilt m20
a couple of months ago i purchased an 88 vert. the p.o. purchased this car with broken timing belt and replaced the engine with one that was originally slated for a race car. i don't need the engine because i am swapping in my 40,000 mile s52. it has been completely rebuilt and balanced and probably several other things have been done to it that i don't even know about. it was rebuilt by an engine rebuilder in windsor, ontario just across the border from detroit.

here are a couple of photos of the engine from the p.o.'s original for sale thread.

if you are seriously interested, i think you can pm this guy and ask him a few questions about this engine. i am pretty sure he can give you a phone number to the rebuilder and he can also answer your questions.

the previous owner never drove this car. he only installed the engine and resold the car.

this engine is still in the car which happens to still be in michigan. i am planning to drive it back to texas around the first week of august. it will be available for take out at that point. i am planning to leave it installed in the car until sold so the new owner can hear it run. i am willing to ship at buyer's expense. i can strap it to a pallet and deliver to freight forwarder on the east side of houston, tx at no charge. by the time that i get to texas this engine will have amassed a total of less than 2000 miles. probably more like 1200.

anyway, the asking price is 875.00

also for sale is the stock m20 out of my 88 325ix. the odo shows 138,000 miles. seems to have good compression and ran well. tappets a little noisy. could use a valve adjustment. 400.00 its the engine out of the silver car.

I'm interested in the ix engine. I'm out of town until nov 3rd. If I gave you a deposit could I pay the rest upon pickup? Is it an auto or manual car? Are you parting the rest?
