PR has everything. The hot Puerto Rican hotties, the weather, and the faster shipping. PR rules!!! Actually, Stumble_T received two stainless steel Hartge style footrests that were shipped a couple of days earlier. These were from a previous batch. They were overbuilt as you could rest a car on them... ;-) But being stainless, they can be welded on a racecar. Or even cut around the roll cage. They are the unit that are displayed in the initial post.

    Chiquita here.

After this short moment of awe, let me highlight that people with the M Technic style footrest will need to cut a small part at the bottom of their plastic speaker cover, exactly as with the original. Some covers already have a trimline. Some don't. Also, as with the original M technic footrest, a small spacer is needed around the stud that holds the small extension. Some people have simply slightly filed the 12mm hole so that it fits around the portruding tube that is also used for the clutch stop.

See the round spacer? Part #9

By chance, did you send the dead pedals with any hardware? Wishful thinking here

No hardware included, as in the case of the M technic style footrest, you reuse what's already on the car. For the Hartge unit, some have carpet, some don't, which is why I prefer users to pick the bolts of the size they prefer. But if people want hardware and are specific about what they want, then I will supply hardware on future sales. I have an inventory of about $5k in fasteners only and purchase around $500 per month. ;-)

Let me guess. You had one of the two available blank M Technic style. Right?

Let us know how your install goes. As I stated yesterday, it is as simple as trimming the speaker panel along the line that exists on some of them. Then fit the lower extension behind the clutch stop bolt.

It might not be an original M Technic footrest, but it follows the same mounting principle, performs the same task, and costs one third. Collectibility doesn't add to performance of an iem... ;-)

I did :) I will be installing it within the next few days, I just need to clean out some garage space first.

                Can't wait.

just pm me your real life name and I will reply with a tracking #. I just found the thick pile of receipts. ;-)

BTW Shipping is 3 to 5 days depending on location. If you are living deep in an Alabama swamp, it can take a bit longer than the dude in the heart of Boston.

Hm, I live in SF too and haven't received it yet. Hope my idiot mail carrier didn't leave it outside my gate (again).

                          @ Stunmble_T

Great. I was afraid that the Christmas holiday postal traffic would have slowed down shipping, but it seems we are well within the 4-5 business days bracket.

@Brian. They wouldn't do that? Would they? ;-(

They have in the past; i would assume that with the insured/priority service that you used, they would have the decency/common sense to leave a note for another day.

One time when I got wheels delivered they left them outside for who knows how long. Facepalm.

In theory, they should leave a notice if you are not home when they attempt to deliver on the first time. You'll then have to pick-up the box (16" x 8" x 8") at the post office.

Mine was delivered downtown to a buisness address and was dispatched directly from the main hub. I could see it taking a little longer if yours had to go to your local sub-station then out for residential delivery.
Side note, mine most certainly required a signature, so if your mailman just left it he'd get canned.
