I read on a forum it was bored out larger for increased oil flow in order to meet the demands of the euro S50. Though I think that is wrong. I believe its actually the exact same pump. I spent $175 because of the shipping from Germany. Hahaha. Oh well.Comment

It looks like the part numbers are the same for the US and EURO versions on realoem. In the exploded view of the euro model, the pictures shows a solid sprocket vs the us model showing one with holes in it. Not sure.
I thought I had read the main difference between the US and EURO models was that the EURO had a better sprocket and shaft less likely to break or spin off. Someone sells a "euro kit" that just has the sprocket and shaft.
Anyway, even a new US e36 oil pump is going to be closer to $400.Comment
