    Euro "Alpina" Instrument Cluster

This is a rare Instrument Cluster with a few special features making it stand out from standard clusters. These go as followed:

•270kph Speedo (exclusive ONLY to Alpina models)
•Orange Needles (exclusive ONLY to Alpina models)
•Fuel Gauge with auxiliary fuel tank face (Exclusive to euro and south african e30's)
    •Odometer running in Kilometers
•Fuel Economy gauge running in Kilometers
•All indicator symbols are euro as well as a rear foglight provision

EVERYTHING works as it should on this cluster including the fact that this is an early model cluster with a working SI board.

If you have any questions feel free to let me know.

Is that the original gauge surround? I'm used to seeing it in a brown color with 'Alpina' printed in the center. Is there an Alpina/Motometer tag on the back of the cluster?

That's a cool set of gauges, either way. My fuel gauge is a bit different from that.. I haven't seen one that was specific to the long-range tank. That's neat. Good luck with the sale, it'll be interesting to see the end value.

Yes this is the original cluster surround, this did not actually come from an alpina cluster, only the speedometer did (as i recall it came from a c2 2.7), the rest was from a standard euro e30

Interesting.. My Alpina cluster was missing the speedo when I picked it up, I wonder if it made it's way over to you in Cali. I just run an M3 speedo because I prefer MPH anyway.

              Thanks for clearing that up.

If orange needles only came in alpina clusters and only the speedo is from an actual alpina cluster, how did the other needles end up being orange?

and the M cars are a multiplier

                regular repair Money * 3 = M3

Would work with an 84 eta?

                  as in plug and play?

                  2.7 means eta, right?

It would not work with a standard eta, as it only revs to 5k. A custom built super eta I'd assume since it revs to 7k.

This cluster will work with any 6 cylinder e30 built with an early model SI board. It will also work with any early model SI board if you include the coding plug for a 4cyl (which I will include in the sale).

alpina made several variants of clusters. some came from the factory with white needles, some had the "alpina" lettering at the bottom of greyish brown surround. some had 240 km speedos, some had 260 km speedos. mine has alpina lettering on the gauge faces with orange needles and a 240 km speedo. i believe it was out of a c2 2.5 or 2.7. take a look at the alpina registry and look at all the different clusters offered. mine is listed in a recent for sale thread btw.

^^I'm familiar with the different layouts. I wanted to verify that the cluster is an authentic original complete Alpina cluster, which it isn't according to post #6.
