OK, so I am thinking about selling my motor to build a high HP 24V or possibly do an LS1 swap and I wanted to see what kind of interest my current set up would generate.
- I took the best of two motors, an M42 (the crank) and an M44 (the head and block)
And put them together with custom Wiseco 9:1 pistons.
- Its has a Freshly rebuilt Eaton M62 (and I mean REBUILT to the tune of, $1,000 with all new bearings, seals, and a custom polish and coating on the rotors all done at High Speed Labs) and is running a 9-10psi pulley
- Its plumbed in using the Downing Atlanta manifold through a ported throttle body
- The Fuel Injectors are Delhi 42 lbs./Hr.
- Manifold has a custom made phenolic spacer to reduce heat transfer from the head.
- This will come with a Custom Built MegaSquirt tuned and ready to go
- Also comes with equal length headers (don't know the brand?)
- Also comes with a Coolingmist methanol injection set up and an iX windshield washer reservoir so that you can keep the meth kit stealth under the hood
The only thing you might want to do to this motor is upgrade the headgasket and head bolts and possibly have some aluminum deflector pulleys made to replace the plastic ones that are on there.
I can't even begin to tell you what I have in to this motor time or money wise.
So I am just putting a price on it based on its power to weight ratio and plug and play condition in which you will receive it.
It only has a few thousand miles on it. Screams like a banshee and the dyno chart is like a 45^ line right up to the rev limiter. In fact, I have run this with a 12psi pulley and it put down another 25HP, but the head bolts couldn't hold it. You can go up to 15psi easily with this set up and if you upgraded the valve train, you could rev to the moon and likely make 300 crank HP.
Feeler price $4,000 for everything.
Will consider offers.
Will ship. Will deliver within reasonable distance.
Not 100% I will sell it until I see the offer b/c I have so much in to it and I willl miss it! My car only gained 15 lbs. but doubled the HP :)
The most fun e30 I have ever drive, bar none!
Anyway, let me know what you think.
I will be taking pics soon enough, so stay tuned for those.
