e30/e36 Machined bushings

I ordered 75 Poly RTAB, subframe, and diff bushings for an E30 from him. The communication was very good, he said he'd ship them out a week later since he had some other orders. I was okay with that, and shipping took a while, but that's no issue since they are coming from Europe. Like I said, he seemed like a good seller, and responded to questions the next day. Except when I asked him for the shipping number, he never responded.
So I got the bushings and went to install the subframe first. I could install the poly part fine, but there's no way the metal part would go in. So I took them to a shop to have them pressed in, and they were able to press them in, but it wasn't a perfect fit. They told me that was the best they could do and maybe they would settle in once the subframe and everything was on the car and bolted properly. I can now see that it won't.
Next up, I tried to put the RTAB in. Now, keep in mind, these are poly bushings, so installation should be a breeze. A friend of mine installed AGK on his E30 and just used a large C clamp to push them in, and they went in without a hitch. So I tried to get them in, but they just would not go in. No matter what I tried -- 6in and 3in pullers with various washers and metal parts, various C clamps, mallot, etc. they just would not go in. The bushing compresses but does not move. So I took the RTABs to the shop too and same thing. They are not in perfectly. I tried to fix it by, again, using pullers, C clamps, etc. and nothing. Again, the poly part compresses but does not move. The metal part it seems is way too thick and just digs into the poly when you try to move it.
I asked him when I started the RTAB install how to do it. He said to use motor oil andOriginally posted by sellerFurthermore, the current bushing inserts do seem to have quite sharp ends. I would propose trying to make the ends more round and everything should fit pretty well.Originally posted by sellerAll parts have been tested, so I can ensure you that they fit, they work, and improve your handling
all parts are machined by people who know what they do.
When I asked him how to install them, he responded the next day. When I asked for my money back, he ignored me and never responded back, just like the tracking number. I was gonna file a PP dispute, but gave him a couple days to respond to my money back PM and the deadline to file the dispute ran out. So now I'm out the money I paid this douchebag for the bushings plus the shop to install them plus new OEM bushings and many hours of my time and frustration.
Lesson learned the hard way though. So please, learn from my mistake and save yourself any trouble and just buy from a reputable brand like AGK or Powerflex or just get the stock bushings. Now I gotta see what I can do with PayPal to get his account closed and we'll see what else I can do to make sure this douche never rips off anyone again.
So if you're thinking about buying from him, DON'T. Please pass this info to as many people/forums as you can.

Wow.. Holliday messes things up..
Yes i admit that few polly rtab sets had sleeves with sharp edges, this makes pressing in a lot harder. I can change sleeves if you want. All parts had been tested, but then we were using different sleeves(in fact the only difference was edges.. )
If you had problem pressing in subframe bushings this would be unusual. In fact first problem ever with that part. More info would be great! :)
Still i have sold 30~ sets and loads of other single parts to US only and you are first to have some serious problems. I usualy answer emails, but sometimes shit happens and i miss few.

Like I said, I don't trust your product enough to use it. I don't want you to exchange anything. I want my money back. I can send them back to you and you can do your own "testing," which apparently you've already done. What a load of shit.

Originally posted by LencasSuch front control arm bushing damage could appear due to contact with a ditch, a rock or a pothole. The bushing itself is still perfectly usable. On another note, please try inserting the differential bushing from the other side of the mount. This could help with the issue of the bushing pushing itself out and becoming loose.
I'll send you a refund for rtabs within a month.
My bushings were installed properly by a BMW shop you weasel. Your crafstman ship is TERRIBLE and THAT is to blame. I have receipts for the install, even the tech asked "where did you buy these??, they look like junk" The FCAB's were not drilled straight and the overall diameter of the bushing was off. The reason you see them in opposite orientation is due to the bushing ROTATING in the lolipop. Improper machining and terrible material. Lencas, You claim that the bushing was pressed in improperly, but the bushing took no press to install. And even after installation they wiggled- you never responded to my emails about that. The RTAB's that he sold me were too long and squished out upon installation- you never responded to my emails about that. The Diff bushing is pushing out, it was also improperly machined- and yet again, you ignored my refund requests for that.
You made me come to this. All of your bushings from the "race" kit were utter crap, you mustve been drunk.
Lencas IS A SCAMMER AND HAS FAKE REVIEWS.
I tried to PM people who have purchased from lencas with no response.
He has promised me a refund and never came through only having this excuse. Other members have responded with the fact that they have given up trying to chase down their parts/money
Look at these pictures for proof and never buy a bushing from him ever. He has screwed over several members and never refunded them. Lencas your "excuses" are sad and sorry. Goddamn LiarLast edited by Camoflash; 01-18-2012, 12:07 PM.
