when i bought my e30 the trans blew so a "new" one was found, the flywheel was resurfaced and a new clutch put in the trans. the fluid was flushed (dont recall with what) and it shifted overly smooth for the 1500 or so miles i was able to drive the car before the m44 was pulled out. i cant honestly tell you the mileage as i do not know.
ive had it posted in a mass parts thread before but it got no looks. Ive found it easier just to list the parts in their own respective fs threads
anyone have a recommendation for how to go about getting a shipping quote for such a large/heavy item?
ups

how much for just the 260 if i come and pick it up?
right now ive got to get shipping quotes for these guys and im going to TRY and do that after work today and just sort of go down the proverbial "dibs" line from there
Fedex was way cheaper than ups. i just shipped a zf tranny for 75 bucks with insurance.
Their only stipulation was it had to be in a box. I just strapped it to a piece of wood and slid it in a box with a bunch of bubble wrap.

I don silk gloves and place them into a sacred envelope made of magic and lined with Unicorn fur, seal the envelope with an adhesive made from strands of Gypsy hair and wrap the whole thing in a snazzy looking faux gold leaf paper, with elm leaf inlay from Costco. Unfortunately, by the time it gets to you, all of that fancy stuff will likely have been picked clean by the greedy postal service employees. Please don't be surprised to see just a plain envelope.
