Nobody living in Canada would put in an MPH cluster because all the signs are in km/h (can you tell I am Canadian).

Either it was a Canadian model originally 325e and some enthusiast "upgraded" to 2002 side makers, US (mph cluster), and put on Eurobumpers and imported the German check control and stick it on.......or maybe it was a grey market car, imported to Canada, then re-badged 325e by way of a trunk swap...

You should check the stickers everywhere including the ones on the doors -I can check mine if necessary to see what to look for...and if I were you I would look at the engine carefully...it's possible you have a 323i there with a 735 Euro head on it, great for mixing with the bottom end of an Eta....

Maybe you can also post pics of the car and particularly the engine compartment....my battery is my trunk ...is yours?

Sorry to jump to conclusions, I didn't know you bought it new. I guess you'd know it was a canadian market then ;)

I'm 100% certain this was a euro model, and a 325e. The VIN numbers all match up, the euro bumpers were original, the side markers are added by the US DOT for federalization, as is the swap to a MPH speedo. My battery is in the trunk. The trunk lid is also original - it has the same hit as the rest of the rear, and that's all original too. It has sealed beams and US grills from a previous accident - shop probably didn't even bother looking up a Euro model vs an American model. It also has an 027 ECU - I'm pretty sure that's ETA specific. It sure as hell ran and drove like an Eta.

It also has the rear fog, which is euro specific, no VIN on the dash, euro specific. Even the full OBC is in german, along with all the control stalks.

This car is soundling exactly like Beemerfanatik's. It has all the differences mentioned by him along with some other stuff that I have noticed. I saw that the gas tank doesn't have the push away cover for the fuel hose like my 325e does. I'm not sure but I thought US cars had those to reduce gasoline evaporated fumes from just going into the environment. That's why we have charcoal canisters. Anyways, I'm pretty sure its a Euro.

Now down to business. Yesterday, I was starting the car and everything seemed to be working on the cluster. I didn't specifically look for the coolant gage because I didn't run it long enough to warm it up. But I will gladly check it out for you. For the rear bumper, I would like to sell it with everything needed to install it (ie. the mounts and such). Unless two people want each I will sell them together.

PM me if you guys want to negotiate prices but I was thinking somewhere around $150 plus shipping for the bumper and everything. That's about what the price I've seen them selling for before. I'm not quite sure yet what to charge for the cluster but I don't feel like ripping off or being ripped off in all this. So, if you guys have any fair offers I will go with them. Also, my zip is 22980, so you can cross-reference my shipping costs.

Any other questions about parts or pictures just let me know.

I also forgot to mention that this car has a new set of tan cloth seats that were installed by Bimmerworld about 5 years ago. So they still look great.

I'm not exaclty sure what you mean by B0P 1T0. Seeing how so many people are interested in this bumper I will end up selling it and the brackets to the highest bidder.

Also, I've checked out the gage cluster and everything appears to be working...including the temp gage.

FYI, the ETK shows Euro 325e was made in 1985, 86, and 87.

Canadian-market cars are also referred to as "european spec".

I still have the rear Euro bumper, Euro gage cluster, new tan seats (4 door), running engine, and many other parts. I'll sell to the highest bidder. If pics are needed, PM me.

here i'll dumb it down a little for you

quote on shipping to B0P 1T0 for rear euro bumper + brackets = x amount of dollars. i'll let you decide on which currency you'd like to put it in.

The glass is permanently closed. I'm assuming you wanted the glass that can be opened right? I'll still send pics if you want them.

Hey BahnE30, currently I have an offer for $150 for the bumper which is not including shipping. I found out that it will cost about $45 to ship to you. I'll let you have the whole thing for $200 shipped.
