that happened to me, I took the rear seats out and hammered out the ski pass cover and made the hole a 1" bigger on the bottom so i can fit and I used an angle drill to take out the bolts for the trunk or you can try to pry it with a screw driver from the inside.

Are you willing to sacrifice the trunk lock? drill out the lock or take a large flat head screw driver and hammer it deep into the lock that should do the trick and much less aggravation then trying to climb through. Incidentally, you can't climb through a convertible trunk as it is built different then coupe or sedan. there is no ski pass or anyway of breaking in from the inside of the car. I suppose once the soft top is up and the lid is open one could make an access hole there but you would still need to get a long enough extension and also remove the interior panel to expose the back of the lock.

Once you open it you can unbolt the damaged lock by loosening the 2 10mm bolts holding it in and then I would check the trunk latch to make sure it is well loobed and see why it failed to begin with.

      good luck!

Just saying you didn't put this in the right sub-forum....

I'd drill out the lock, a new one for the trunk is cheaper than new tools, and you won't hate having a separate key too much once you replace it.

I need help NOW so I put it in a more popular subforum. And how does drilling out the lock help me? After the hole is made should the trunk just open right up?
