        1) go to home depot/lowes and get a free pallet
        2) take exhaust manifolds off and lay engine/trans on pallet with passenger side down.
        3) load in back of yours or friend's pickup and drop off at freight depot of your choice.
        4) ask them to shrink wrap the entire thing for free.
        5) bam! done!

no offense, but your opinion about shipping is uneducated and stupid. this forum is viewed nationally(actually internationally). if you want a local sale, i might suggest confining your listing to your local craigslist. you just eliminated 95% of your potential market with that attitude. shipping across the country from the ne should cost 350.00 or less. your time to do this should cost less than 50.00 or more likely free. i've shipped about a dozen engines, transmissions, and other heavy parts this way and the cost is usually about 250 bucks or less with terminal drop off on shipper end/terminal pickup on the purchaser's end.
        Good point.

Alright people, I think I might actually have an idea on how to ship it if you REALLY want me to. You will have to pay couple of hundred extra on top of the actual shipping charge, but thats better than nothing. Please contact me if you are serious.

Yay and sad face at the same time because my motor is dead and I'm getting an awesome motor to replace it.

Stay tuned for a possible part out thread depending on damage.
