    jayamasaki79,
    1. i have fixed these before - it really depends on what is wrong with it. there are so many possibilities, that i do this on a "time and materials" basis. we can discuss these terms.
1a. i also have the components necessary to convert to a manual top with all OEM hardware and brackets.
    2. chocolate may be objective, but i can do it in "brown." custom colors are really tricky. no samples are available of the colors.. it's a bit of, you get what you get - scenario. this is hard for all of us to wrap our heads around.. but i have started to make this easier by stocking the "red" one which is a merlot or close to the illusive cardinal match.
    3. i can check on the idea of having one without a rear window. could i ask why you would want such a request?

1:a I like that idea of converting to manual. If you can DM the cost to convert, that would be great. Or post on here if you'd like.
2: "chocolate brown" or dark brown is OK, what I dont want is close to dark tan, or a light brown. Understood on you get what you get.
3: rear window seems pretty pointless, even when my rear window was good, visibility was not so great. Figure, y have one if its a possibilty.

we are around $300-$400 including parts and installation. this is to make the car completely factory manual - i have all the parts currently to do this.

please see some of the earlier posts - like post 124 - when these tops are new, you can't even notice that the rear window is there. visibility is excellent.

i've driven some of my cars daily with brand new tops for 3 years and by the time i sold the car, the rear window still looked new!

there are some helpful tips on how to keep it looking new - what you see as "haze" are thousands of scratches, so i always avoid wiping the window at all. i clean it by washing it with regular car soap and favorite microfiber car wash mit. close a small hand towel into it so it does not rub on itself.. etc..

So where are we at with this? Is this going to be in SoCal only? Or will there be a NorCal spot too? I'm willing to take the trip, but it would be nice if it were closer.

And it's there any rough idea on when we're looking to do this? A little time to plan the travel arrangements and budget would be great.

there are a lot of people who say "yeah i want you to come out" but i have like one or two only who have even contacted me via PM to quote their jobs (what is needed for their cars etc..) i need firm quotes for all involved, then i can work on time and we can take deposits. i could come out as early as about 4 weeks.. but i really need some concrete contact from all of those who are "interested."

Were you running a special on white cars only??

Will be contacting you shortly to book a slot for mine in June. If you still work on black cars :)

HA - no discrimination here! i was pretty amazed, myself, when the third white car showed up.. and on top of that two of them were factory m-tech!

i keep a red, blue and black top all in stock now - along with a few sets of straps and every dealer part that can be necessary depending on the condition of the frame's parts.

no more waiting around for parts to come in from Germany!

Ok, I know we talked briefly about it, but I'll send you another PM with some pics so we can get as accurate as possible. :)

It's currently raining here, so once it lets up a bit, I'll grab those pics and contact you.

Come west, young man! So many rust free e30 'verts need tops, mine included. Not window shopping at all, cash in hand looking for a quality top installation at an affordable price.

Did you end up coming out to NorCal? I am in for one - seriously. Need to replace the top on my black '92 vert, and want to do it right, with factory or close to factory fabric. P.O went with some cheap shit many years ago, single layer. It's cracking and leaking. What a PITA.
