SOLD -- FS: FK 60/40 Springs

    SOLD

FK Automotive 60/40 springs. Asking $175 shipped, or best offer, local pickup cheaper and preferred.
These lower 2.5l e30s 60mm in front and 40mm in rear. Gives a rakish drop with a relatively firm ride. Not unstreetable, but stiffer than Eibach Pros. I don't know the springrate but they're a great match with Bilstien Sports. Email or PM me.
I ran these with 225/50/15s. Some rubbing before I clearanced the inner fenders. A smaller tire should be ok.

I would like to mention these are no longer available in the United States. FK stopped selling these in the US, so its hard to find a 60/40 drop spring by itself...

    Hope that helps your sale.

I would really like to lower my car to get better performance but I know that lowering the car makes it a bitch to drive. How hard is it driving normally with these springs? What are the coil sizes and spaces? Very interested.

Any lowering springs, even M3 springs, will.

Not really a bitch to drive. The two things that bug with lowered e30s is the oil pan and rubbing tires. The oil pan is the lowest point on the car. If you are careful its not really a problem. I live in LA and have smacked my oil pan a couple of times on these fucked up streets. I havent cracked my oil pan, but it is aluminum and I dont like hearing that sound. A lot of people have busted their pans. Definitely something to consider.

Also lowered e30s and big tires are an issue. Once I clearanced my fenders it was much better. Just have to go slow when approaching driveways at an angle. Thats it.

Coil sizes and spaces dont really mean much. If you are asking if the coils bind, they do not. Springrate is probably what you are looking for here, but I dont know what it is on these springs. If you contact FK, they might be able to help you with that.

The valving on OEM shocks is not up to the task of controlling these springs as they are considerably stiffer. Not recommended at all.
