    you're like the E30 King of the West Coast aren't ya? :) I had a tranny in a Conquest do that to me one time on Sepulveda and Sunset on the hill UPHILL....1st gear stayed engaged even though the clutch would release. It SUCKED driving all the way home to Venice Beach that night with a date in the car.

          There's a guy on road fly selling a manual IX transmission. I just dont have the time or the space to start another project. Guys, this is a nice car with a lot of potiential- be creative!

                kinda.. all '88s are 2 door 5 speeds.

                I'd buy it for a swap but if the tranny is bad it wouldn't do me much good. :(
