what is the distance of the wheel away from the driver as compared to stock? is it much farther away?

It's actually about the same distance or a little bit taller.

The hub and quick release combo stands at a total 4.25" tall. the remainder of the distance is dependent on the wheel i.e. deep dish(3") or nardi/NRG wood wheels ~1.25"
