I would agree. I happen to live like 20 min from the shop that this motor is sitting @. Great group of guys who work there (as well as one of the cleanest and professional), as well as the work they do. I'm going to drop by and look @ it personally. Might just be my next big project. :)

Ask 'em if the rod bearing recall was done for this engine.

and the M cars are a multiplier

                    regular repair Money * 3 = M3
                    regular repair Money * 5 = M5
                    regular repair Money * 6 = M6

I PM'd him with the same question .

                      2001-2003 had rod bearing recall.

I have decided to pull the motor down off the market for two reasons, one being the rod bearing recall (need to find out if this engine has had the service done or not, or what year it came out of) and the other reason is that something came up where we may not need to sell the engine. But if things change, you guys will be the first to know. Thanks for all of the interest generated by this ad, and sorry about this situation.

even if you did get a motor with a rod bearing recall done on it, I still would replace them with better aftermarket bearings, especially if you're going to track it. apparently even the newly replaced bearings aren't that great for track use. it's not that expensive to do, either.
