This is my car. I've been meaning to circle back on this thread and write a testimonial for Shant and Matt. I have total satisfaction with the build, and since I feel like they gave me The Last Truly Good Deal on this motor, the least I can do is write some kind words.

When I first approached Bimmerheads, I had a couple long talks on the phone with Shant. I was looking to spend ~$2000 to rebuild the M20 on my clean but very high-mileage 325is, and Shant was perfectly eager to work with that small-ish budget. However, after some discussion he mentioned that he had a Super Eta core laying around. The prospect of mating all that torque with a ported 2.5 head was very enticing, so I saved up for another couple months and brought the car back to get its Super-franken-Eta heart.

Shant checked in every few days during the build to ask how I wanted to proceed with various details...nice touches, like painting the block, cleaning up a lot of wiring, welding my leaky exhaust (IE catback: looks good, sounds good...cheap, and fits like crap) at no additional cost. Above and beyond, really.

Let me tell you...the motor is tremendous. My car is QUICK off the line and revs so eagerly. If I ever move out of California, I know that this motor will be able to handle boost like a boss. These guys are giants of our community. They obviously eat, sleep, and breathe E30. You should have total confidence leaving your motor or your car in their hands.

P.S. My car hasn't been on the dyno, but I may be able to do it next month. I'll post the results for those of you contemplating a Bimmerheads 885 top-end for your 2.7. My motor also has their proprietary SSSquid tune and 274 cam. However, just comparing by driving feel, the car clearly has "much more of everything" than it used to with the M20B25.

We'll be taking off Thursday morning for a NYC/GFEST, aka some much needed time off! We'll be back at it next week to get 3 more heads out the door!

Hey guys, Just had question, I want to get my head on my IX rebuilt with a Bimmerhead performance one because later down the road it would be nice to build the bottom end. Would you say running a performance head on a stock bottom end is bad or any bad side effects. I have Miller MAF but would like to get a warchipp later down the road to give me more of punch with some extra bolt ons. Thanks, Angel
