I have a complete e30 tool kit in very good shape. One small spot is empty (lower right of picture) but not sure that anything is supposed to be in that spot. Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Asking $70 inc shipping within lower 48. I'll listen to offers.

OK. It looks like it was a small plastic piece for opening a window if a motor broke:
All E30s, if unmodified, should have a basic tool set located inside the trunk: All tools were made by Heyco and stamped with the BMW logo. The kit included: 17/19mm wrench 12/13mm wrench 8/10mm wrench Pliers Allen key Screwdriver with a reversible blade (Phillips and flathead) Spark plug tool Plastic manual window crank (in case
So....I'm selling an incomplete tool kit.Comment

bingo.
if you pop of the round covers on your doorcards the piece fits in there, combined with the allen key.
and if all the tools are 100% rust free and in excellent condition, i dont think the price is outrageous. but the pic is too small to see.AWD > RWDComment

To help the seller that is a complete tool kit. That empty space is supposed to be there as either newer E30s or older E30s (not sure which way) does NOT have a plug on the doorcards that you pop open to utilize that tool if the electric part of the window breaks. So, the E30s that does not have that little plug on the doorcards the toolkit DID NOT come with that little thing from factory.Comment

I think the car I pulled it from was an '89 325is, I'll check later if the door cards have holes. I have seen other allegedly-complete tool kits without that item which is why I was unsure if it is complete.
So....depending on who you believe I'm either selling a complete kit, or an incomplete kit. But I'm not hiding anything....that little plastic thing ain't there in my kit!
And if you think the price is outrageous, I did say I'm open to offers.
It is in very good shape indeed. The tools are not the rusty crap you often see. I can send better photos to anyone who is seriously interested.Comment

that is a complete kit for an e30. the e30 just uses the allen key to manually open the windows. i had an 88 e28 that used the piece that fits in that space. that peace screwed into the manual crank with what seemed to me to be an expansion some how to lock it in place then useing the plug wrench and rod to make a t wrench opened the window. i have that peace if any one is interested.sigpicComment
