I didn't question the guy about it. I don't care if the guy stole the engine or whatever. He just wanted it gone. I'm trying to find the original thread I bought it from to verify everything.

This ad needs to kill itself or someone should put it out of its misery.

I mean its not like this engine has a serial number that someday, by some fluke, could raise a red flag (flukes never happen in real life right).

Of course, if the OP posted that serial # people could make reasonable inquiries as to its "service history" so at least if a fluke ever DID happen, they could at least say "I asked".

      Im just sayin'

i wish i could verify it for you guys, I bought it under the same impression. He told me they used it as training at the BMW he worked at. Said it was only ran on the stand. I had no way of verifying it myself. Ive used the engine for about 8 months, not 1 issue. No misses, nothing. Im not looking for anything crazy here. I just want it out of my car so I can put something else in.

It could very well be a great engine, but when you say "he got fired and took it" and that you "dont care if its stolen", thats pretty a heavy dose of buzz kill.

So you are selling a stolen engine without any papers to go with it. This engine was also a training model which means it has probably been dismantled, reassembled, and test run hundreds of times..

AND you are asking top dollar?

I'm not one to crap on peoples for sale ads but the fact that you don't care if it was stolen is asking for trouble. Not only trouble for you, but trouble for the person who buys the engine.

            Give us some serial numbers.
