I have the same OEM one for my E90 and if you're looking for protection from crap hitting/falling on the car this cover isn't meant for that. It's about as thick as a t-shirt and keeps the water/dust off of the car. That being said if water starts to pool on the car it will soak through and bring the dust with it. :/

Sorry, haven't checked this thread in a while....as "glucklich21" stated, this is a thin cover but is in excellent shape. I will post some pics of it on the car later this week.
