OK, someone fill me in here. Are the ellipsoids that much better than the H1/H4 setup?
I'm running H1/H4 Hi/Low, and, honestly, the lights are great - I love them - beam pattern is nice, easy to see, easy to replace bulbs. So, is it really worth it?

Yes. They look better, Perform slightly better, have the City light feature, and are euro spec. Not only that Bosch>Hella.
Looks are a matter of personal preference, and the city light thing is easily fixable, I have city lights in my low beams. As far as the euro spec thing goes, isn't that the same as saying, "Yeah, but it's JDM so that makes it better."? I've spent several years in Europe, just 'cause it's euro doesn't make it better. And I'll leave the Bosch vs. Hella arguments to the engineers.
OK, so to me, the real argument is: they perform slightly better = not worth the extra money.
None of this should be read to imply that I'm attacking anyone. I like the way they look, I just wondered if they were really worth the extra loot over what I spent on my Hellas, and if the only tangible benefit is a modest increase in performance, I'd have to say no.

It's all a matter of preference. When I do things, I tend to do them well.
Its the authencity that matters, I am sure someone could retrofit angel eyes into their hella's, that don't mean they are just as good as the original angel eyes from BMW.

I had the Hella H1/H4 setup and sold it to finance my own Bosch Euro Ellipsoids. The Hellas were fine, no real complaints. The Bosch Ellips perform better, but I can't say how much better. Lighting is a difficult thing to quantify. I can say that I like the Ellips much better than the Hellas all around.
One more consideration is the fact that the Ellips will accept a HID setup whereas the Hella H1/H4 setup will not. IF you ever wanted to upgrade to HID then, you will HAVE to go to an Ellipsoid setup.
All arguments aside, this is a like new set of Bosch Euro Ellipsoids at a price that just cannot be beat.
haha, you call doing lowering springs without shocks n bouncing all over the place well? and taking ur car to Canadian Tire for an oil change and have them strip the pan?
lol but thats a different story all together.
Someone buy the lights. They are in good condition
