Probs get one over the summer if they're still avail. Anyone notice that the back of his cluster is marked up with vdo stickers but the front has motormeter in solder on the board?

Hey I noticed you said you have it set to red for 9 volts/ green for 16v. Typically if an alternator is charging @ 16+ volts this would result in an overcharge situation and most likely will soon result in failure.

But typical good charging avg elec system will be from 12-14.8 volts.

Yes, over-voltage is a *bad* thing. So that why I designed it to measure up to 16 volts. Actually it will measure 16+ volts (the last GREEN led will stay lit at anything above 16+)

Since over-voltage is a much more rare occurrence, and you could still limp home with an over-voltage situation, it much more logical to have the red led be the low end(dead battery zone). That's how this gauge is set up. PM me if you want something different then what I'm offering - but for most people - this is the best, most logical set up.

RED LED: 10 VOLTS
YELLOW LED: 11 VOLTS
GREEN LED 1: 12 VOLTS
GREEN LED 2: 13 VOLTS
GREEN LED 3: 14 VOLTS
GREEN LED 4: 15 VOLTS
GREEN LED 5: 16 VOLTS

Question:

How it shows the voltage?
Is it constant or will it change while driving depending on the alternator's output?

Answer:

when you turn your car on, will show your battery voltage. Then when your start your motor, it will show you your alternator voltage.

There is a bit of filtering I designed into the gauge - so it doesn't "fluctuate" any more than it should to tell you want your voltage is.
