Bump for a brilliant idea that would have come in handy tonight.
Knew I was already in deep shit when the ABS light came on. Then the radio shut off when I hit the brakes... Stupid alternator.-Dave

George or anybody that has a video of the voltmeter device actually working in a e30 reving up and see how does it act? Just curious because I'm considering purchase one for my M3 but I would love to see a video of it in real action.

I'd do an "in car" video, but as you could guess, my e30 is the test mule or all this stuff. My interior is in a pertual state of disassembly testing one design or the other.
I'll see what I can do. "rev'ing" doesn't really show you the vaule of having a voltmeter gauge. It's what it show you before you start your car, and after it's running that lets you see how your battery, and then alternator is doing. That's the key. Oh, and as several people mentioned, will save you a tow home if something starts to go wrong...or god forbid a faulty voltage regulator.
BUMP! I'm going to be closing down this sale this week to order parts and start building. It's your last chance to save $50. I will accept a down payment if you're really strapped for cash. PM me - I'm flexible.Originally posted by Matt-Bhey does anyone know anyone who gets upset and makes electronics?
