***Price Drop*** Genuine Racing Dynamics K27 stroker chip for m20

    Sold!

I have a genuine Racing Dynamics K27 stroker chip. Back in the 90's the k27 was at the top of the big name bmw/M20 tuners horsepower race.

The previous owner bought it from racing dynamics in 1999. This chip came out of my stroker as it no longer matches my engine specs.

It dynoed at 188.8 rwhp and 181.5rwtq without headers on a stock air box and catback exhaust. 200whp with a good intake, headers and full exhaust should be possible, maybe more with porting or a mister-e head. Redline is 6900rpm. It never pinged with premium as many chips and tunes will at these specs. This is very close to stock s50 territory.

A cammed high compression m20 stroker is truly an epic engine. The loping idle commands a presence that a stock engine of any kind simply can't match. The higher compression and displacement give you heaps of torque. I can pull on most economy cars in 5th nudging on the cruise control, drive one gear higher at all times, and surprise everyone with better fuel economy to boot. Many people ask if it has a v8 due to the loping idle and the overall sound is very exotic.

This chip will run an m20 with these specs:
    ETA or Diesel crank
    B27 Rods
    B25 pistons
Decked block to make up for shorter piston rods
    Offset Cam Gear
    284/272 cam or similar
CR 10.2:1 and does not ping with Premium fuel.
Adjustable FP regulator With Pink-Top injectors 21#or 19# with stock regulator

    Sold!

A myster-e head and reground cam should be the most cost effective way to take full advantage of this chip and push out even better numbers than the dyno shown above on an unported head.

Personally I would drop the 2.7 components in a 2.5 block i don't know if you could achieve the correct compression with eta pistons maybe someone here can chime in. Blocks themselves are basically paperweights so you could pick up the correct block for super cheap if not free.

Nice blast from the past. What DME is the chip for though?

Good point I didn't even think about. I'll check for a serious buyer but it is probably a 173.

No worries at that price those fully reworked heads are a great service to our community. A no brainer if you have pulled your head anyways.

So this one is for strokers running the b25 pistons in the b27 bottom end? Not the lower compressions eta pistons and rods with the 885 head?

Correct it is intended for a compression ratio of 10.2/1 using the b25 pistons and a decked head. I'm not sure how it would work on a lower compression motor. The higher compression definitely helps compliment the more aggressive cam up top with nice low end torque. Just as there is a drastic difference running an I head on an eta block this is an entirely different level of power.

I know this chip requires a little effort but it will be well worth it!
