FS: non-BMW, hot farkin VW, take a peek

I'm selling my 2000 GTI GLX, it has the tech. package so heated seats, power heated mirrors, auto dimming mirror, rain sensing wipers, as well as all the other gadjets on MK4's. The reason I'm selling is to get into an E30 BMW, and put the rest into my Rabbit project.

It has 142,000 miles, 90% hwy, I'm the second owner, I bought it stock 4 years ago with 35k on the clock. I always use Mobil1 fully synth. Engine work covered in engine section.

Exterior: I have replaced the front end with a Jetta front end, it was done at a very competent autobody shop. I've also installed a carbon fiber hood made by VIS, it has the two hood pins as well as the factory latch. The car also has a Kamei grill, a European 4-motion Jetta front lip, custom "Joey-modded" headlights with fogs, black mirrors, and it has been de and re-badged with an oldschool Beetle emblem and a German flag emblem. Also I have color matched bumper side markers and custom one-off Wolfsburg fender sidemarkers.

Interior: Factory black leather heated seats, custom wrapped the steering wheel with a fake suede material to protect the leather. I also made a custom guage cluster and some carbon fiber center console pieces. The "VR6" badge from the hatch was placed on the center console. I have also installed New Beetle black leather headrests but they are not in any pictures. it has a euro switch as well.

Suspension: Included with the car is two sets of suspension, one set is factory 2003 GTI VR6 suspension, the other is RPI Equipped supension which lowers it 2 inches or a little more. The pictures are with the RPI suspension but since then I have replaced it with the factory parts. This car also has a Eurosport upper rear stress bar, Neuspeed upper front stress bar, H&R adjustable rear sway bar, and new strut mounts and bearings. As some of you know one of my struts was blown, so I would suggest 2 new struts, I've seen em for 99 bucks a pop. RPI Equipped

Drivetrain: I have fitted a lightened single mass flywheel along with a Spec Stage 2 clutch, this was done maybe 20,000 miles ago. It has Brembo cross drilled rotors up front along with Mintex Redbox pads. In back are the factory rotors with EBC Greenstuff pads. The car has Redline tranny fluid.

Engine: short ram intake with a larger K&N filter, a grounding kit, exhaust is a TDI midpipe with a Magnaflow muffler, aftrmarket tip, I have a Eurosport lightened underdrive pully as well as the stock one if you wanted to go back. Included with the car is two ECU's, one has GIAC programming and the other is factory. the car has new plug wires, plugs, coilpack, and battery ( Optima Redtop) as of last Febuary. Also a new water pump and belt as of 5 weeks ago.

Sterio: This car came factory with the Monsoon sound system. 8 speakers total, 4 6-1/2" subs and 4 1.5" tweeters. I've upgraded it slightly with the addition of a Kenwood CD/MP3/WindowsMedia player, this sterio is also Sirius satelite radio ready and has a remote, not like you can't reach the radio from the back seat anyway

Wheels: The wheels pictured are 2-piece Rial Daytona Race, 18x8.5 in front and 18x9.5 in back. These retail for $535 each and were custom painted to match the color of the car. They have very new Falken Zeix ZE 512's, also included with the car is a set of OEM 16" steel wheels clad with factory tires, these have 60% tread left. I bent the lip one wheel and I'll either get it fixed or knock off some cash to fix it, whichever the buyer prefers. I have already started inquiring about getting a new lip but have not heard back from the shop yet.

The good: everything except for wahts in "the bad" section

The bad: weird issue with door locks, I have the replacement parts, just not the time to replace them. (Door lock module) the car has a key mark on the hatch.

    On with the pics!

If you want the car with the steel wheels ONLY I'd like to get $8500

If you want the car with BOTH sets of wheels, I'd like $9500

no trades, the goal here is for me to have zero debt, I've put a deposit on an E30 already.

Wow, not much of a dub fan per say, but that's pretty damn hot in spite of the color. Not for me, but hot in it's own right.

Always loved the JTI look. I had a mk3 golf and wanted to swap the front-end with a jetta..the jetta's front-end was always more aggressive looking in my opinion. Dubs are coo.

Goodluck with the sale! and goodluck on your future E30 brotha.

i'm assuming you already put it up on vwvortex.com

hate to see another vw guy leaving the scene, but coming to this one isn't a bad place to be :)

maybe i should sell my R32 so i can devote more time to my E30

good luck that's a hot GTI

Thanks :) it's weird, in the VW crowd it's kindof hit or miss, some like it others think it's ugly. Only thing that is on the fence for me is the hood, but I figured I'd let the next owner decide if they want the CF painted or unpainted.
