Professionally rebuilt by a very reputable tech;
Virtually new, only about an hour on a dyno and three very easy laps around Mosport to test.
Engine was broke in using high quality, high zinc content oil.
The Good (for you):
Metric Mechanic Parts http://metricmechanic.com/
MM Head Bots;
MM Head Gasket (flows more water through the head - better cooling);
MM "Bee Hive" valve springs and retainers;
MM Rocker Arms (rev up to 7k all day long);
MM Coated Rod Berings;
Other Parts:
Ishihara-Johnson Teflon Crank Scraper;
288 Schrick Camshaft;
Bavarian Auto Long Tube Headers;
High Performance Ignition Wires;
UUC Magnetic Drain Plug;
4 mm shaved of the throttle body;
All of the above is brand new. Of course, all the maintenance parts like water pump, timing belt, gaskets, seals, plugs, etc... are new as well.
153 or 173 ECU and wiring harness is included, as are a stock air box/filter, AFM, stock engine mounts, etc...
Power: 150 hp/140 tq at the wheels on a Mustang Dyno.
The Bad (for me):
I am loosing my effing shirt on it!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This will make a strong and very reliable street/track engine. IDEAL for turbo application, just bolt it up and go!
Reason for selling: Will be better off with the 24V unit in my race class. And on that note, will consider a trade for M52 plus cash from you or me, depending on the M52.
Engine is still in the car and you are welcome to hear it, touch it, smell it, make sweet love to it, etc... It's a race car and not street legal, but a short test drive on a side street can be arranged.
Price: $2500.00 OR $2000.00 without headers. For an extra $500.00 I will throw in a Miller MAF and W.A.R. chip.
I will not take the engine out until I have a deposit.
I am VERY firm on the price. I don't NEED to sell it, just want to upgrade.
