    WTT: 325e 13 Button OBC for 325i 13 Button

    Hey all,

Like the title says: I have a 13 button OBC for a 325e, and would like to trade for the same OBC for a 325i. (It's my understanding that these are specific to the 'i' or 'e' models.) I would much prefer a straight up swap for an OBC in comparable condition, but I might be talked into selling. It isn't on in the picture, but it is 100% functional. I don't have a car with the harness to plug it into to demonstrate, but I did test it a couple of weeks ago in another car and it was working perfectly.

I am NOT interested in anything that isn't working. I do NOT need any other parts of the kit (i.e., turn signal stalk, relay, harness, etc.). The only thing aside from a 13 Button OBC for a 325i that I might be interested in is an analog clock.

Located in Smyrna, GA. Feel free to PM me about it.

(Sorry about the noisy pic. Didn't look that bad on my phone when I took it! Will take another in the morning.)

There's a chip in the back just like the SI board.

The OBC itself is not "i" or "e" specific. There is a coding plug that you need to swap when you go from one to the other.

What is this "coding plug" you speak of? The plug for the harness?

Blaupunkt Hamburg MP68. I dig it. Although, I don't think they make the MP68 anymore. I think it's been replaced by the Toronto. You might find one on eBay though.

For a picture/explanation of the "coding plug."

I just removed my mp68 from my Z3. I might put it in my e30 sedan, doesn't look bad in the pic, plus it has great BT streaming and 5 channel preamps.

That's exactly why I got it. I think it looks pretty "stock-ish," and the features were killer for the price. But the Toronto is priced well, too, and is pretty nice. I think the Hamburg's matte finish looks better though.

I've got the older model Toronto 410BT in my cab. It has the vario-color display like the Hamburg. The BT is good as well, plus it has the mic integrated into the headseat, so no need to mount the mic.
