ZF Steering Rack - Early Model rebuilt kit $15 SHIPPED
ZF Steering Rack - Early Model rebuilt kit $15 SHIPPED
Early model steering rack rebuild kit that I paid $55 for. Got to the part of removing the steering rod and couldn't get the collar off, so I got an E36 rack and rebuilt it.
For that rebuild kit, will it work on the 89 models? What is the cut off years for the kit? Im interested in the kit only. You can keep the rack. Thanks.

Nope early model only. Early model is 2-piece rack, late model is 1-piece rack. I am not completely sure but my old '87 also has a 2-piece rack like this one so I am thinking the same pre 9/87 for early/late applies.
Its even cheaper now then when I bought it. Fitament as follows.
