What about Hella smoked blackline and replacement lights? Never have I heard of them being LHD or RHD specific. What I do know, is that people have been moving the projector over and have been happy. Perhaps our UK friends can shed some light on the topic.

"catalysator" is in direct reference to the reflector so yes it has something to do with the reflector.
Take the part numbers I provided and put them into realoem. As I stated Realoem specifies all 3 are RHD.

    BMWfans/realoem is exactly the same.

If the cut off pattern doesn;t change, then surely we would have flashing oncomming traffic, as the beam pattern would be blinding.
I can appreciate that you are trying to protect your interests (selling RHD lights to LHD folks). Your hearsay has no place here. If you want to add empirical evidence, I welcome it. That includes show us the shape of your light pattern (turn lights on and climb on the roof of a building and take a picture looking down).

Except he's experienced what most people have. The numbers you are giving me are all over the place...early ellipsoids reflectors and late ellipsoids reflectors. Bosch and Hella. It's really confusing. I suggest sticking to late Hella reflectors. Wasn't my intention to drag this on here. I will look into this and start a new thread. Carry on...

I'm sorry, I have no idea what you are on about. Nothing is confusing, my numbers are not all over the place.

Both early and late reflectors are LHD and RHD specific, both for Hella and for Bosch. Please do not blame your lack of understanding on me.

I can assure you I know exactly what I am talking about. Please take a look at how many euro smileys I have sold in the past. It may also help for you to know that I have extensively done business with Ireland in years past, and among many parts I would always refuse their euro smiley's.

Last but not least, I am a former UK resident :)

        Edit:
I should also add that these are Bosch, not Hella.

Empirical evidence is exactly what he provided you.

"Empirical evidence is a source of knowledge acquired by means of observation or experimentation."

And I really don't think someone quoting second hand sources for part numbers should be calling anyone out on 'iffy data.

I checked the part numbers at a german BMW dealership (not RealOEM whatsoever) and there is definitely a distinction between LHD and RHD projectors and some other headlight related parts. I have never seen RHD projectors in real life so I don't know how much of a difference is there but they are not the same.

                    GLWS by the way.

Need euro parts? Send me a PM.
