can you take a video of you dropping a cinderblock on one or something? i'm just curious as to what level of abused 1/8" SS will take.. knowing very little about metal properties myself.

When I made the first one out of 12 gauge (thinner) I could almost lift the front tires off the ground before the SkidPlate touch the oil pan. I haven't tried it since I switched to thicker metal. I'll try to get some pictures of it when I do.
I'm not gonna claim to know all differences between different metals and the different alloys available. But my "backyard science" tells me that stainless steel is going to last longer than aluminum and be a little stronger and look better than powder coated steel.
But without any real science to back any of it up........who knows.
All I know stainless steel gives me that warm fuzzy feeling ;)

Should be the same as any other e30 with an m20. Maybe someone has some pics from there car though.

m42 is in the works.
The current m20 SkidPlate will fit all 325, 325e and 325i coupe sedan convertible
