I hit part of a truck that broke on the freeway tonight doing about 80mph. Bent the skidplate up about two inches and around my M42 oil pan. I have no idea how it didn't break the oil pan... it actually may have but it's not leaking. The plate is bent up enough that the motor is sitting weird and the car is making more noise/vibrating more.

Gonna take it off in the next few days to take a pic / beat the thing back into shape. Money well spent here.

Pulled the plate off and it was bent around the corner of the pan and the pan was resting on the plate. Oil pan is intact and undamaged. Beat the shit out of the plate to get it back to kinda fitting and bolted it back up. All is well.

All in all, money well spent and it saved my engine.
