      welting is just rubber trim to protect the body and give a clean edge. I'll try to bolt them on tomorrow but not sure if I'll be able to until Wednesday.

                Definitely interested for early model cars, and the welting. Been kicking the idea of doing this around for a long time, and could never find any good ones.

                  its just held on by tape so its pulling away from the body you can see in the picture its not up against the body. and to the others yes you would need to cut out at least 50% of the original flares.

                      very interested. keep us updated. I was about to order some dtm flares as a christmas present for myself, but didnt wanna spend $400 plus shipping. You have any ideas on price range, etc? I'd like to see a group buy, I would be in for sure.

                          I think Rivnuts and SS or Black machine hex-head bolts will really be a good direction to go, and makes removal/replacement a bit better than drilling out rivets.
