    E30 Euro instrument cluster (VDO)

I bought this cluster about 7 years ago, so I have no idea what its worth today and I haven't been able to find much comparable for sale recently. I plugged the cluster in when I first got it and if I remember correctly the speedo worked intermittently. I don't see many clusters without the "guzzler" gauge so that is something to note. The warning lights are also the EU symbols.

I couldn't get a good picture without a reflection in the cluster, so I put up two pictures (one with the flash for highlighting but has a reflection).

I'm asking $100 for the cluster. I also need a 3.73LSD (medium case/188mm) so maybe we can work something out if you have one you want to get rid of.

If you have anymore questions or want any more pictures, let me know.

PM replied to. I was out of town this weekend :)

For anyone else, I bought the cluster second hand so I do not know which car it came out of. It should work fine in any car with the VDO cluster.

I will try and plug the cluster into my car to test it, but the car is hardly stock so I am not sure I still have the inputs for everything.

The date of manufacture should be on the tab that is not broken off. Since it doesn't have a coding plug I would say that it is out of a 84-85 318i or 325e
what you did to this car is like getting a supermodel naked and willing to do anything you please. now here you are faced with ths once in a lifetime opportunity and then you squander it by making her fuck you in the butt with a 24" strap on. you are a sad, silly little boy.

Awesome info, thanks for that. The coding plug is basically a pin that sticks in from the back of the tachometer.

that is an early style cluster for "I" model cars. The "e" version had a lower RPM redline. The coding plug on the newer clusters is on the front bottom of the cluster. I don't recall coding plugs being on back of the early style ones but I could be mistaken.

                    Off topic question

Anyone know where I can get the red dome light bulb covers for the main illumination bulbs in the Cluster? I can't find them anywhere nor a part number. My right hand one (by the temp gauge) is melted and it looks like crap. Thanks
