Ok, I told the garagistic guys I'd post up about this many weeks ago and unfortunately got pretty busy.
I bought the UUC swaybarbarian kita few months ago and began my install. My car is lowered, and the little aluminum spacers they provide not only didn't fit (U shaped mounts were sloping instead of flat against the subframe) but seemed unsafe in that configuration. I wasn't feeling confident at all about running the little round aluminum bit to be honest.
I contact garagistic Sept 2 about custom making me some of their spacers with a completely flat side, and I wanted it to be as thin as possible to make as small a change in geometry as possible. We exchanged a few emails and a few days later I had the spacers in hand.
[Bolts not included, I got them for a couple extra bucks as mine were pitted]
I was out of town for a few weeks but came back and was finally able to install them. They look great and fit perfectly.
That little bit of a gap you see on the right is because I didn't have everything fully tightened down, but I assure you it fits like it should.
I haven't had any issues with them and my sway is functioning as it should. These make the set up in front wayyy more solid. At the thickness I requested, they didn't really space the bar down very far at all. I think if your car is lowered you are best going with the M3 style endlinks, but at the very least adjustable endlinks are needed, which come with most aftermarket sway kits anyway.
For the added peace of mind they gave me, I'd recommend them to anyone running the UUC kit.Comment
