I know you recommend to go right from the battery for signal but would you see anything wrong with just using the positive power terminal on the firewall as its a much shorter run?

There's nothing wrong with that. That's what I have mine hooked up to right now.

Any tips on where this "positive power terminal on the firewall" is?

Doesn't fit in the stock switch location. I have tried those and different ones. None fit. They are all too big.

There is also horsepower gain directly correlated to the number displayed.
