    E36 Getrag 250 5spd

This is a Getrag 250 transmission from the early E36, E34, E36ti for sale. I never ran my car with it, but everything seems to work just fine. I cleaned all the gunk off the transmission, so its ready to drop right in and go!

    Selling for $200 obo

So you have no firsthand knowledge about whether or not the synchros are worn on this tranny? Mileage?
The difference between porcupines and BMWs is that porcupines have the pricks on the outside!

Correct. I do not know the mileage and since I have never driven a car with this transmission, I can't verify the synchros.

have you bolted a shifter to it to see if it engages all gears?

Yes I bolted a shifter to it and went through the gears. All of them seemed to engage fine.

Not that it means anything but how does the fluid inside look?

The original fluid was drained about a year ago, but I didn't notice anything unusual in it. The trans has been sitting with new fluid since then as I was planning on using it in my car.

If someone is truly interested and is afraid I do not have the transmissions history we can work out some kind of refund deal if the trans turns out to be bad. I sell a a lot of parts locally and am very involved in the BMW community. There is no way I would risk my reputation for this amount!
