    Feeler: rewrapped dashes

I have an opportunity to have a few dashes wrapped in either leather or high grade marine vinyl. The gentleman who will be doing the work suggested I use the HG vinyl to keep cost down and longevity. While I know leather may be favored, your e30 didn't come with leather, nor will it miss not having it.
I know that 99% us here on the board are on a budget. And the vast majority of use here have cracked dash boards.....
Between sourcing the dashes, getting them to him, having the work done and getting them back I think the cost will be around $400 for an extremely sexy looking dash, that wont ever crack.... Plus shipping.
Uncracked original dashes go for $150-250 on average which will either crack on shipping, installation, or not too long after, unless you are very lucky.

    Do I have any takers?
I'm dropping him a few dashes soon.... As soon as I get them back I will post photos.

I don't really understand why anyone would pay 2 to 3 times more for this than getting a original dash, a well maintained dash with a sun shade and conditioned will not crack.
also I think you can pick upi a new dash for that much.
I don't think the price is were it should be for this to work for anyone

Cheapest new dash, if you can find one will be $700 plus tax and shipping.
These dashes have been NLA for a while but show up here and there. Many places list them as "in stock" but are not really available.

ALSO. I'll be offering free return shipping of your cracked dash and a core fee refund that has yet to be determined.... granted you remove your dash in one piece and don't beat the crap out of it in the removal process.

Dashed will have the double stitch to add a little more class to your interior, and it will never crack.....

In for results, $400 is the top of the range on this unless the fabric and stitch and execution are all flawless it may be high.

Definitely interested. Does $400 include core, and can leather be an optional extra? I do have leather seats.

Ok, I'll work on it. Meeting with the upholsterer tomorrow. I will have leather prices and turn around time.

Admitting you don't understand is the first step. It is a leather dash.

                    We are here for you.

grey_ghost, off topic question, did you get your e28 from the hampton roads area? I'm trying to figure out where my old e28 went (it was an 88 535is, lach on black, spoiler, etc very similar to what you have minus all the extra mods)

                        I miss her so :(.

I'm quite sure I can work almost any option you want. Anything other than black will need pre-payment in full up front. Pictures will be up as soon as I get one back.
