I just aquired another M30 AFM that I am going to paint the color of the engine. The AFM is setup with the m20b25 325i board and air sensor. I can set this up for the 84-87 m20b27 motronic 1.0 eta also if any of you eta owners are interested.
I did some of the poilishing with a dremel and the rest by hand. There is room for improvement on the polishing but over all it looks really nice.
For those of you who are new to this mod. Do not expect to just plug this in and go, you will have to tune it some. I used this afm on my car when it was an eta, and after I converted to motronic 1.3 and swaped boards I had to adjust the AFM again.
I recommend you have it properly tuned after you install it. This did make a nice improvement in performance for me both with motronic 1.0 and 1.3. I have no dyno results to back this up though.
