sit it in the sun till it gets hot then take the air dryer to it. i i just pull it off once it gets soft but then you gotta get all the glue off. i just pick at the foam backing until thats gone and i use wd40 to get the glue off. then i wash it real good with dishwashing soap or you can use a soap that strips wax. i just try to make sure i get all the glue off and then i lay down a nice wax.
and yes it will leave a mark especially on a black car. my car was repainted before i brought it so the marks are almost nonexistant.
