I have for sale a modern OE updated SI board for the pre-1986 cluster. Most of the SI boards from this generation use NiCd batteries and are surely dead or near dead if you have never replaced your SI board.
Dead SI board batteries cause symptoms of intermittent or non operation of the tach, temp, and MPG gauge. They can also cause your service LED lights to not reset and remain on with the car off, causing a starting battery drain.
It has brand new lithium batteries and brand new power capacitors. Fully tested and working 100%. This board is for the 1982-1986 E30 clusters with the coding plug on the rear of the cluster, not the front right corner.
I will also honor a 3 year exchange/repair warranty with purchase.
NOTE: This is NOT a 1980's production board, this is a much younger version produced by BMW for the older generation E30's. Its production is from the late 1990's or 2000 because it has the newer lithium style batteries.
