What would you recommend for a 84 325e? Maybe converting to a 2.7i or swapping in a 2.5? Or can a 2.7e be turbo?

Do what I'n doing. Swap for an m20 2.5. This kit was built and put together for 2.5s. I have an m10 and i'm about to buy a 325i for cheap and this kit to drop into my 318. Go for what the kit was built for.

if you swap the I head and do a 327i you'll be fine. My first kamotors built car was a 2.7i turbo and was fine. It should also have lower compression than a 2.5 if I'm not mistaken.

Quick question~ How many miles did your car have when you first put the kit on? Also, how many miles does your car currently have? An m20 I'm looking at has 134 miles on it, and a worry of mine is if that old of internals will hold up? especially if i need to replace timing belt or rings, or valves or what have you. I know the m20 block is bulletproof but theres always a bit of a concern. Because if i have to spend another thousand to do a rebuild or whatever i need to budget that out! Thanks!

Nothing to do with the turbo kit, but damn dude this cars come a long, long way. I remember when you started selling cold air intake shields and shit.

                            Great job man.
