Tall can width would be perfect. How would you do the integrated charger? Just have the cord attached?

I love the space in the back for keeping pens or anything back there. Would certainly slap my phone and ipod in there as well.

If this thing stays under 70 with a dual usb area then I think you'll have a good amount of business.

I'm working out of town this weekend and won't be back at my computer til Christmas. One of my plans was to add a relief for handles on coffee mugs. Don't worry my plan is to make them deep enough to effectively hold the cup under cornering. That has always been one thing I've hated about most cup holders.

The square hole is set up for a dual USB high speed charger that I developed a few months ago. The proto should be ready in a day or two. Stay tuned for the next rev.

Also as for hooking up the USB port it would come with spade connectors to plug directly into the existing wiring. I'm not a fan of cutting and splicing. Plus if you ever wanted to go back to the ash tray its a simple plug and play.

As for the phone use, this is something I'm trying to achieve in the end design. I want to be able to easily access the phone if needed. I am not 100% up to speed as where most charging ports are on droid phones, as the last three I've owned have all been in the bottom center. Is this consistent with new phones now?

Sorry for the delay in updates. I was a lot busier than I thought I'd be with Christmas. I'm picking up the 3D printed proto tomorrow, and now that I'm back at home I'll make some changes to the model and get some pricing together to see what the feasibility is of the whole project. I work out of town, so I'm only able to work on it on the weekends until my new laptop shows up.

So I did a little tinkering on it today, and tried to incorporate some of the suggestions. I wasn't able to pick up the print today, but it really doesn't matter as I change it quite a bit so it would only bee for fit check to make dure I have good dimensions for mating to the console. My plan is to have integrated charging dock for micro USB, iphone 32, or 8 pin depending on what is needed. In addition to that there would be a dual USB port on the top for other chargers, and I also added relief for handles on some mugs. Let me know your thoughts.
