    Parting out, 88 325ix, Pomfret, CT

    UPDATED, please read carefully!....Many tire kickers and low ballers have responded, please be reasonable with offers, I'm not looking to make a killing, just get rid of the stuff to fund the rally car.

    Parting out a running and driving 88' 325ix with 211k miles. Car currently runs and drives fine, manual trans and transfer case work great.

    Car is parted out, little stuff I'll ship, but bigger stuff (bumpers, tranny etc.) has to be picked up in Pomfret CT PM or text eight six oh four 2 8 two five 6 4. If it can fit in a standard-size FedEx box, I'll ship it.



    ****Updated Parts list and Prices as of May 23****

    Complete ix engine with recent (within 3 months) water pump and timing belt, oil pan and front 3.91 front diff, wiring harness, AFM, coolant hoses, 5-spd transmission with short throw shifter, and front and rear drive shafts, very clean head with little wear on rockers or cam was $960, now$700

    Newer front axles with good boots was $400 now $300

    Motronic ECU from an 89 325iA was $40 now $30

    Near perfect crack-free dash, 2 screw holes on left side $sold

    Instrument cluster with 211k and good SI board was $50 now $40

    Pair of black vinyl HEATED front seats (not sport) and complete rear black leather seat was $100 now $75 (no wiring harness to connect seats to car)

    13 button OBC with good back light $old
    Heater core was $40 now $30

    Radiator with temp. sensor and new plug and wires was $50 now $40

    4 15" steel wheels with good tires and 1 14" IX steel spare was $200 for all, now $150

    Second white hood, great shape, small spot of rust on the trailing edge of one of the embossings but not a rusty piece: was $100 now $75

    Drivers heated mirror $20

    Late style tailights with backing plates was $35 now $25

    Front (SOLD) and rear plastic bumpers with backing and shocks (front passenger shock had to be cut but is still mountable) was $150 for rea, now $125 for rear (front sold)

    ix Brake master and Booster was $200 now $125

    Steering rack with inner and outer tie rods: was $125 now $95

    Brand new inner tie rods: was $40, now $30/pair

    Brand new IX inner ball joints was $50, now $40/pair

                          I've also inspected this car and other than the Swiss cheese unibody it seems as though it's all there. When I removed the valve cover and took that pic I noticed it was very clean for 211k but the casting date on the rockers all say 87 and the cam looks almost perfect.

                              Pulled the engine, trans, transfer case and front sub-frame as a unit from the car yesterday. Almost ready to pull the glass, any small bits and send it to the scrapper's.
