FS: Cardinal Red M3 Front Seats

    SOLD!!

I have for sale a set of stock E30 M3 cardinal red front seats. They were redone a few years ago by the previous owner. Overall they are in very good condition. There is one small nick in the driver seat cushion, but otherwise there are no real issues. Mechanics of the seats are in good working condition. Looking for $600 for the pair. I have boxes for them and will ship within the US, or they can be picked up in south orange county, ca. There are several pics at the below link.

Very nice seats, but these are from a vert. Not a m3.

It sure looks like the seatback hinges forward, which means they aren't vert seats. I'm pretty sure they put horizontal-striped seats in the 325is too though... They're every bit as common as vertically-striped seats.

They are spectacular seats though. Wish I could afford them. GLWS.

i thought horizontal stitching means those were vert seats? in the end m3 or not. nice set of seats. 600 m3 or not. glws. 325is still has vertical stitching.

Both the M3 and Cabrio had horizontal seams and I believe the leather is identical. Im not sure about the IS seams.

Since these seats have a back release they would not be from a 4dr.

I do believe the only difference between the Cabrio and M3 seats is the tracks but thats an educated guess as I have never actually fondled an M3 seat.

They should as the bolt spacing is the same on all e30s. Fore/aft movement may be different as well as seat back tilt neither of which matter much and both can be tweaked.

              very nice seats

The way to tell if seats are from a m3 or vert is the handles that fold it forward. M3 seats have them positioned higher, and the outside handles are longer. The vert seats handles are lower and use the same stubby handles from the inside of the passenger seat, on the outside.

Not a big deal to most, but if someone is trying to restore a m3 100% stock, they might be disappointed when they find the seats were from a vert.

All e30 seats bolt in, regardless if vert, coupe, or sedan.

Thanks for that knowledge, today I learned I have M3 seats.

100% true right here! Unfortunately the seats you have OP aren't from an m3 :(

if I understand correctly if the handles are lower that means the seat back frames would have the pivots lower and shorter ropes (cables) so a retrofit would require moving the leather to the old frame and using the old seat back so the cutouts match the handles.

Thanks for the details guys. I just bought my M3 and these seats were in it. I know they were not the originals, but didn't realize they were from a vert. I have the original seats as well and will be restoring them, which is why I sold these.

Anyway they are sold and were picked up earlier today. That was easy. :)
