Waiting to hear back on that test. With no access to one of them(I do E36 retrofits but none in my hand right now) I do not have an exact output yet.

Other I just got home so will get it posted.

Kind of a weird question, but do have the ability to make led bulbs that can be used in the smiley city lights?

The wedge bulb? It is on my list currently. Lots of cheapo options currently but want something a bit nicer. A lot of them are hard to get a solid contact with the design of the basic bulb holder as well which makes it a big pain.

Was able to find a local E30 with H4 headlights so I could get the requested photos. E30 swapped track car that still gets driven to the track. Jumped on the H4 and kept them. Really awesome results.

Pic to give you an idea of the color of the LEDs. Matched to OEM HIDs in E46 Fogs:

            Stock and LED Upgrade:

            Complete Install:

On the road results - Spectacular output. Clean lines.

Also will do my best to get the LED into the H1 Smilie tomorrow night on my personal car. Have to leave for work on Tuesday morning but will do my best.

interesting. Do the bulbs fit into the H1 lowbeams without modification?
Renting my rear wheel bearing tool kit. SIR

Fit into any housing really. This would be similar to putting an HID bulb into the housing. For a Bosch Projector?

Didn't have a chance to put them from my high beams into low beams to get actual test photos.

do you get a 'low beam' check light with these in?

Should not. The H4 test car did not throw a "Check" light. It has built in resistors in the LED Driver to prevent this.

                            Do these require a ballast?

Yes it's very small. About half the size of a standard hid slim balast if not smaller.

It's not really a 'ballast' per se. As it does not need an ignitor or anything like that. The LED Driver, the little 'ballast' has resistors for error free operation and circuitry needed to control the LEDs.
