Early model meaning the front struts only fit the 84-85 e30's with the smaller strut housing. The rear shocks are for any year 84-91.Comment

Bilstein sells a gland nut that will allow these to be installed in a later strut housing. They are about $25@ so it may not pay but it's an option.
Fwiw the valving is virtually the same in both size inserts.Seat Shocks....I have passed the baton to John Christy from Ninestitch. Email John or Garrett at ninestitch1@gmail.com
