But the typical cause of the ABS light is the fusible link inside the ABS relay underneath the steering column. The link will burn to a crisp if the electronic system were to were to be introduced with an excessive amount of voltage (IE, a short, or attaching your jumper cables backwards). There is no fuse for the link, so when the electronics are overloaded, the link just pops

If you're having ABS troubles, I would check your relay before your module
