pull the head, add timeserts, swap a single vanos head on and we can start a club of badass lightweight 24v motors

and the M cars are a multiplier

                regular repair Money * 3 = M3
                regular repair Money * 5 = M5
                regular repair Money * 6 = M6

Just my thought, but I dont think there is any performance gain from the dual vanos, the single vanos (intake side only) definitely was for power while the vanos for the exhaust side was strictly for emissions

plus I think the DV is a continuous system so there might be a bit more torque under the curve (The DISA intake mani also helps mid range torque), so to spend the time and effort to downgrade doesn't really make sense to me...

If I ever crack this open for any reason, it's going to be in order to O-ring and build for boost! But that is very unlikely as I'm planning on staying M20 for the long term.

bump. Motor still hanging out in its crate in the corner of the garage.

                          -less than 50k miles

                          -Lightweight alloy block

                          -All accessories including A/C

Yeah it might be more expensive than a 250k+ mystery M52 that you pulled out of a junkyard 3er, but you get what you pay for at the end of the day.

If the motor has not been overheated, there's no reason to timesert.

I've got an alloy 2.8 I rebuilt the bottom end on. Head bolts torqued down no problem, runs great

Hmm this is very intriguing. How much would shipping be to 19720? I'm sure i could find a business address to send it to.
