Frankly, I thought it was common knowledge that the E28 spoiler will work with modification. And I have used double sided tape on them just fine in the past, so your experiences may have been different.

All that said, this will the third one I have sold on here so I'm not sure why there's suddenly confusion over the spoilers and the minor fiddling necessary to make it work on an E30. It's well documented.

In summary: It's a spoiler off of an E28 535is. You will need to drill holes in your trunk if you want it factory correct. However, I have also removed them from junked cars where the owner literally glued AND double-sided taped it on to a non-spoiler car. Depends how ghetto you want to be.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

ok....not trying to crap your thread, but if you have had 3 of them, why did you originally have it listed as e30 mtech1? if you know its 535is, why didn't you just label it as such? not everyone looking at your thread has the e30 experience you or i do. believe it or not, noobs purchase used parts on the forum too. the difference is a 400+ dollar spoiler versus....well, we can let the market determine the value of yours....

yes it will work well and look good on an e30 with the modifications you mention above. if you drill your holes as far forward as possible, the profile difference where it meets the vertical part of an e30 deck lid won't be too noticeable. i have actually owned a couple of these myself. good luck with your sale.

I don't really understand why you continue to visit my thread. Blame is on three kids running around and zero sleep that I screwed up the title - which, by the way, I have found two other examples of forum members labeling as a "E28 MTech" spoiler - yet you didn't crap on their threads.

I have updated the title and found a correct representative photo at yours and other members' urgings. From this point forward, all I want to see posted here are people with serious questions about purchasing an E28 spoiler for a little over half the going rate.

Of course, reasonable offers are always considered. If my integrity as a seller is being called into question, please feel free to visit my feedback thread in my signature below. Thanks.

It appears I was a bit off in my assessment of what these are currently selling for (Huscos are the rage, it appears...), so I have dropped the price accordingly.

            $165 + shipping to lower 48.

            Thanks,

            Jeff
